They are currently seeking a Payroll Officer to join their established payroll team in Wacol. Job Description The Payroll Officer will be responsible for: Process end-to-end payroll activities, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time across multiple payroll cycles. Prepare and process terminations, payroll adjustments, back pays and other off-cycle payments. Maintain payroll data integrity through accurate record management and regular payroll reconciliations. Act as a key point of contact for employee and stakeholder payroll enquiries, delivering timely and professional support. Ensure payroll processes remain compliant with relevant taxation, superannuation, award and legislative requirements. Support payroll governance through participation in internal and external audits. Assist with payroll system upgrades, enhancements, testing and implementation activities. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing payroll processes, controls and service delivery. The Successful Applicant The successful Payroll Officer should have: Demonstrated experience in payroll processing within a medium to large-scale organisation. Sound understanding of payroll legislation, taxation obligations, superannuation and compliance requirements. High level of attention to detail with a commitment to delivering accurate payroll outcomes. Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across the business. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism. A proactive mindset with a collaborative, team-oriented approach to work. Experience using payroll systems and related technology, with exposure to system improvements viewed favourably.
