Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accountant to join the finance team and contribute to the ongoing success of the organisation. The Role Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This is a broad position that will see you involved in financial reporting, month-end processes, reconciliations and business support, while working closely with stakeholders across the organisation. Responsibilities Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances. Process and maintain general ledger journals. Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting. Prepare and lodge BAS, payroll tax and other statutory obligations. Support the preparation of financial statements and audit requirements. Assist with inventory and fixed asset accounting where required. Maintain and improve financial controls and reporting processes. Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making. Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information. The Candidate You will be CA/CPA qualified or currently working towards your qualification, with experience gained in either public practice or a commercial accounting environment. You are detail-oriented, proactive and enjoy working in a collaborative team where you can continue to develop your technical and commercial skills. You will also bring: Experience in financial accounting and month-end processes. Strong reconciliation and analytical skills. Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills. Experience using ERP systems is advantageous. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
