Due to continued growth and a significant project win, they are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join the team on a major health infrastructure project valued at approximately $80m. Currently progressing through Early Contractor Involvement (ECI), this role will allow you to play a key part in shaping project outcomes before construction commences on site. Your Job Reporting to the Project Manager and Construction Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical, commercial and programme support throughout the ECI and delivery phases of the project. This is a genuine Senior Project Engineer role suited to candidates from a commercial building background who understand the complexities of managing large building projects and stakeholder environments. Key responsibilities will include: Managing design coordination and consultant engagement throughout ECI and delivery phases Driving procurement strategies and subcontractor engagement Preparing and managing scopes of work, trade packages and procurement schedules Supporting project planning, methodology development and programme management Cost control, forecasting and commercial reporting Managing RFIs, design documentation and project compliance requirements Working closely with project stakeholders, consultants, subcontractors and client representatives Providing leadership and mentoring to Project Engineers and Site Engineers within the project team Your Experience To be successful in this role you will possess: Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline Proven experience as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer on commercial building projects Experience delivering health, education, government or large-scale commercial projects will be highly regarded Strong understanding of commercial construction methodologies, procurement and project controls Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills The ability to operate confidently in both ECI and delivery environments Importantly, this role is suited to commercial construction professionals. Candidates from civil infrastructure, mining or resources backgrounds without building project experience are unlikely to be considered.
