Its work includes data acquisition systems, sensors, vibration, laser alignment, rotating equipment, sound level meters, acoustics, force, torque, stress and applications used in GPS-denied environments. The business has grown and continues to build its structure, systems and market coverage. It uses SAP CRM, regular planning, quarterly goals and daily team communication to support client activity and pipeline development. This role forms part of the next stage of territory growth across South Australia, with a focus on underserved regions, technical users, OEMs, defence, smart factories and new industry verticals. For the successful applicant, the role offers autonomy, client ownership, technical engagement and the opportunity to shape territory outcomes over the next two years. About the opportunity This is a remote Sales Engineer role based in Adelaide, focused on growing sales of precision engineering instruments and services across South Australia. You will manage client relationships, build a pipeline in underserved markets and work with technical users across sectors where instrumentation, measurement and engineering outcomes matter. In this role, you will: Establish an active client pipeline within three months Build a $2M qualified pipeline by the end of Q2 Build a portfolio of new and service existing clients across South Australia (70/30 new vs existing split) Cultivate long-term strategic accounts Penetrate at least two new industry verticals by year one You will conduct around 10 client meetings per week, log activity in SAP CRM, identify prospects, develop tailored proposals and attend expos or sector events. You will work with engineers on demonstrations, target deals from $5K to $50K, reduce sales cycle time and build account plans for the top 10 accounts. By year two, the role has scope to become a national resource in a specialist domain or move toward major projects. About you We are seeking someone who combines technical aptitude with sales discipline. You may have experience in technical sales, account management, field sales or applications-led commercial work, provided you can build relationships, understand engineering problems and convert client needs into commercial outcomes. To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: A degree in Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering 4-6 years in technical sales Experience selling engineering products or services Experience across defence, aerospace, robotics, rail, smart manufacturing, mining, resources or automotive Exposure to data acquisition systems, vibration, rotating equipment, laser alignment, sensors or measurement applications Experience managing deals from $5K to $100K Ability to build and maintain pipeline through meetings, CRM activity and follow-up What's on offer This role offers the opportunity to build a South Australian territory while working with products and services used in engineering, research, defence and manufacturing environments.
