About the role To support the company's exciting growth, a role has been created for a licensed Building Certifier to manage a portfolio of residential (and some commercial) projects from lodgement through to final certifications. The role offers autonomy, strong support system and the opportunity to be part of a business focused on long term growth and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities for the role Assess building applications in accordance with: o Building Act 1975 (QLD) o Building Regulation 2021 (QLD) o National Construction Code (NCC) Issue Development Approvals and Decision Notices Conduct mandatory site inspections Issue final certificates (Form 21) Manage projects from lodgement to completion Liaise with builders, architects, engineers, and clients Ensure all work meets compliance and documentation standards Mentor and support junior team members Skills & experience Current registration with the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) Experience in private certification within Queensland Strong knowledge of NCC and relevant legislation High level of attention to detail and accountability Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines Strong communication and stakeholder management skills A positive and enthusiastic team player Professional, reliable, and willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done Able to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with clients, councils, and colleagues Eager to learn, grow, and contribute to the ongoing success of the business * Solutions focused, proactive, and capable of working both independently and as part of a close knit team Benefits Competitive salary and performance incentives.
