Machine Operator – Concrete Recycling & Quarry Location: Yatala, QLD Work Type: Casual (Full-Time Hours, 40–55 hours per week) Salary: $42.00 – $50.00 per hour Overtime Penalties Position: Immediate Start / Temp-to-Perm Opportunity (3–6 months) About the Role Are you an experienced and ticketed Machine Operator looking for stable, high-hour weeks with great pay? We are a busy concrete recycling and quarry yard located in Yatala, looking for a skilled, reliable operator to join our team ASAP. This position starts as a casual role offering consistent full-time hours (between 40 and 55 hours per week) with excellent overtime penalties. For the right candidate, this is a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity with a view to transition to a permanent role within 3 to 6 months. Main Duties Machine Operation: Run loaders, excavators (material handlers), and moxies safely. Loading & Feeding: Load customer trucks and feed the concrete crushing plant. Material Handling: Stockpile, sort, and move recycled concrete and aggregates. Pre-Starts: Complete daily machinery safety checks and basic maintenance. Yard Safety: Maintain a clean yard and follow all site safety rules. Required Qualifications & Licences Machine Tickets: Current, valid tickets for Front-End Loader (LL) and Excavator (LE). Truck Licence: HR (Heavy Rigid) licence or higher is highly preferred. Driver's Licence: Current Australian car licence and a reliable personal vehicle. White Card: General Construction Induction card. Experience: Proven history operating in a quarry, recycling yard, or heavy civil environment. What’s on Offer?
