Success requires an exceptional Head of Finance who can combine commercial acumen, strategic thinking and strong leadership capability to lead a large, diverse finance function through change and help shape the future direction of a very large, complex, well known organisation. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead a large, multi-disciplinary finance team spanning Financial Accounting, Business Partnering, Tax, Treasury, and Transactional Accounting Services, You will play a critical role in strengthening performance, building internal capability and driving transformation, whilst ensuring your teams add value and are seen as trusted strategic partners to the business. The Opportunity This is a highly visible leadership role requiring a commercially minded finance executive who can confidently operate at both strategic and operational levels. Success requires you to: Lead, mentor and inspire a large, high-performing finance team; Partner with Executives and operational leaders to drive business performance and support decision making; Deliver meaningful commercial insights, reporting and analysis across a complex multi-site environment; Strengthen governance, financial controls and organisational performance; Support a significant Finance Transformation Program, including ERP, EPM, and Source-to-Pay implementations: Drive continuous improvement, operational excellence and scalable finance processes, and Support major strategic initiatives, investment decisions and organisational change programs. About You You are an influential finance leader with the presence, resilience and leadership capability to positively influence one of Queensland’s leading organisations. You bring: Demonstration previous experience as a CFO, Deputy CFO, General Manager Finance or Head of Finance, A proven track record leading large finance teams through periods of transformation and change, Experience within large, complex, multi-site organisations, Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate financial information into business outcomes, Exceptional stakeholder management and executive influencing skills, Demonstrated success leading ERP implementations, finance transformation and process improvement initiatives, Experience within the Healthcare sector will be highly regarded, CA or CPA qualifications. Most importantly, you are a visible and credible leader who thrives in complex environments, builds high-performing teams and can confidently challenge, influence and partner with senior stakeholders to achieve results.
