We are seeking an experienced Advisor (Program Performance) to join a major government program delivering critical infrastructure initiatives across Queensland. Townsville location (hybrid) Contract Opportunity with State Government ASAP start until end of June 2027 $69.2/hr Super About the Role As the Advisor (Program Performance), you'll provide high-level governance, reporting and project support to a large, complex program. Working alongside project managers and senior leaders, you'll help ensure governance processes are followed, reporting is accurate, and key program activities are delivered efficiently. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will: Coordinate governance meetings, including preparing agendas, board papers and briefing materials. Prepare meeting minutes, manage action registers and monitor follow-up activities. Support project and program change control processes. Maintain risk, issue and dependency registers. Track governance actions through to completion and manage escalation pathways where required. Validate program data to ensure reporting is accurate, complete and consistent. Prepare executive reporting, dashboards and performance information. Support capacity planning and resource coordination. Maintain program documentation, records and audit evidence. Promote consistent governance practices across multiple project teams. Provide high-level administrative support that enables successful program delivery. About You We're looking for someone who is highly organised, analytical and thrives in a structured project environment. You will ideally have: Experience supporting complex programs or projects within governance, reporting or project controls. Previous experience preparing meetings (agenda, papers, briefing materials, taking minutes etc.) Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. The ability to interpret program data and produce meaningful reports and insights. A collaborative approach and commitment to supporting team success. Technical Skills To be successful, you'll demonstrate experience using: Advanced Microsoft Excel for reportin g and data analysis. Microsoft PowerPoint for executive reporting and presentations. Microsoft Office Suite. SharePoint or similar document management systems. Project/program reporting tools, registers and dashboards.
