About the client Our client is seeking an experienced candidate with extensive experience working with both programs and governance, to support the delivery of key regional programs. A great opportunity to work within a project environment on a long-term temporary assignment based in Townsville. About the role Provide advice and support on program governance, reporting, and performance management for the program Proactively identify and support mitigation of program risks, issues, and dependencies through effective tracking and reporting processes Prepare governance materials including agendas, papers, briefing packs, and documentation for regional and statewide committees and boards Manage minutes, action tracking, and escalation pathways, ensuring timely close-out of governance actions Support program and project change control processes and documentation Monitor and update risk, issue, and dependency registers to support governance reporting Validate and standardise program data to ensure accuracy, consistency and completeness for reporting and decision-making Ensure program records and evidence requirements are met, supporting audit readiness and accountability Support alignment and consistency of governance frameworks across regions About You You will have extensive experience in program or project governance and the ability to deliver high-quality outcomes in a complex environment You will have strong time management and organisational skills, and the ability and flexibility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment You will have extensive experience working in project or program environments, working with reporting, and governance support You will ideally have experience working within government or construction/engineering environments You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate at all levels You will have strong analytical skills and high attention to detail, particularly in data validation and reporting accuracy You will have intermediate to advanced IT skills working with MS Office packages - particularly Excel and PowerPoint Benefits: Mid July 2026 start date Temporary casual assignment until 30 June 2027, with potential for further extension Full-time hours Monday to Friday Townsville location $69 - $75.09 per hour super Please note the successful candidate for the role must hold full rights to work in Australia, and willing to complete a National Police Check Email zoe.eagles@halcyknights.com.au for more information
