About the role: This role would suit an established Family Law Partner, Special Counsel or senior practitioner looking for autonomy, quality work and scope to help shape the continued growth of the practice as it expands across the eastern seaboard. You will work with a broad private client base across complex parenting, property and financial matters, including: Complex parenting matters, including relocation, recovery and urgent applications. Property and financial matters involving businesses, trusts, SMSFs and complex asset structures. Binding Financial Agreements, consent orders and negotiated settlements. Spousal maintenance, child support and financial support matters. Mediation, arbitration, settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution. Contested family law proceedings where matters cannot be resolved commercially. Family violence and intervention order matters where they intersect with parenting and property disputes. The ideal candidate: Established family lawyer, ideally at Partner, Special Counsel or senior practitioner level. Strong technical experience across parenting, property, financial and dispute work. Confident managing complex family law matters autonomously and maintaining strong client relationships. Established referral network, or genuine appetite to further develop one. Commercial, strategic and empathetic in approach. Strong leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.
