Our client is a large, values-driven organisation seeking an experienced Lead Finance Business Partner to join their finance team. This is a genuine business partnering opportunity where you'll work alongside Executive and business leaders to influence strategy, strengthen financial capability and drive commercial outcomes across a complex organisation. More than reporting on the numbers, you'll provide commercial insight, challenge thinking, identify opportunities and help leaders make informed, evidence-based decisions that improve performance and support long-term sustainability. The Opportunity Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll become a trusted financial partner to Executive and business leaders, providing strategic financial advice and commercial insights that support operational performance and informed decision making. You'll lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, deliver financial modelling and business cases, analyse performance, identify opportunities for improvement and support strategic investment decisions. You'll also lead a small team of accountants while driving continuous improvement across reporting, systems and financial processes. Key responsibilities include: Partnering with Executive and business leaders to provide strategic financial advice and commercial insights. Leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning. Delivering financial modelling, scenario analysis and business cases. Providing performance reporting, variance analysis and recommendations. Identifying financial risks, opportunities and cost improvement initiatives. Supporting business cases, investment decisions and service planning. Leading a small team of accountants while driving continuous improvement across finance systems and reporting. About You You're an experienced Finance Business Partner or commercially focused finance professional who enjoys working alongside business leaders to solve problems, influence decisions and improve commercial outcomes. To be successful, you'll bring: CA or CPA qualification supported by tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance. Extensive experience in finance business partnering, management accounting or financial planning within a medium to large organisation. Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and performance reporting. Proven experience partnering with Executive and senior business leaders. The ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and influence non-financial stakeholders. Experience leading, coaching or mentoring finance professionals. Advanced ERP and reporting skills, ideally including TechnologyOne, Power BI and advanced Excel. Experience within government-funded, healthcare, aged care or other complex service environments will be highly regarded. The successful applicant will be required to hold a current Driver's Licence and satisfy the relevant probity and compliance requirements, including proof of COVID-19 vaccination where required.
