The Elcho Group is looking for an experienced Kitchenhand to join their team in Galiwinku, NT. Duties and Responsibilities: Assisting in food preparation – select, wash, prep ingredients in readiness for busy service periods Follow kitchen directions from Cook and other kitchen staff with preparation of meals Unpacking and storing supplies in cold room, refrigerators and other storage areas Ensure stock rotation to maintain freshness and food safety. Safely defrost and freeze down food as per food safety guidelines Ensuring kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained in the kitchen Assisting with the set-up and pack down of kitchen equipment Assisting with inventory and stock control. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces and clearing waste. Skillset and qualifications: Team skills Food handling skills Needs to be able to prioritise tasks and manage their time effectively to meet deadlines and keep up with the pace of the kitchen. Being organised and efficient is crucial for handling multiple tasks and responsibilities. Adaptable and able to adjust to changing situations. Positive Attitude Salary The selected candidate will be receiving a salary within the range of $60,000 to $80,000 per annum.
