About the Role We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Payroll & Accounts Officer to join our team in a fast-paced labour hire and workforce environment. This role is responsible for the end-to-end payroll processing and compliance management of 250 contractors, along with overseeing credit control and accounts receivable functions. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives under pressure, has strong attention to detail, and can confidently manage deadlines while maintaining accuracy and compliance. Key Responsibilities Payroll & Compliance Process weekly payroll for 250 contractors accurately and on time Manage payroll compliance, including awards, overtime, superannuation, payroll tax, and workers compensation requirements Maintain contractor records, onboarding documentation, and payroll data integrity Ensure compliance with Fair Work, client, and legislative requirements Manage payroll queries and resolve discrepancies promptly Accounts & Credit Control Manage accounts receivable and debtor collections Conduct credit control and follow up outstanding invoices Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records Work closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure timely payments and issue resolution Key Requirements Qualification in Bookkeeping, Accounting, Finance, or a related field Strong understanding of payroll compliance and employment legislation Experience managing accounts receivable and credit control processes High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong organisational and time management skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines Experience with payroll/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
