We’re seeking a confident and experienced Payroll Manager to take ownership of our payroll operations across Australia and New Zealand. You’ll ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll for a growing workforce while driving improvements in our HRIS systems, processes and team capability. Based full-time at our Headquarters in Waterloo, this is a key leadership role where you’ll partner with HR, Finance and business leaders to deliver a best-in-class payroll function that truly adds value. As a Payroll Manager You'll: Lead a team to deliver fortnightly payroll for ~900 employees across seven entities. Ensure every employee is paid accurately, on time and in line with legislation. Oversee the correct application of Awards and IFA’s in partnership with HR. Provide trusted payroll advice to leaders and stakeholders. Manage end-to-end payroll across Australia and New Zealand. Oversee PAYG, Payroll Tax, WorkCover, Terminations, Redundancy, Long Service Leave and Superannuation lodgements. Drive statutory compliance, month-end and year-end reconciliations, audits and reporting. Conduct internal payroll audits with strong controls and exception reporting. Administer and optimise UKG Ready (Kronos) and Cloud Payroll systems. Lead payroll system projects, implementations and integrations. Safeguard data integrity and reporting while staying across legislative and system changes. Continuously identify and deliver process efficiencies. Mentor and develop the payroll team to deliver excellence. Champion a culture of accuracy, accountability and continuous improvement. Build strong cross-functional collaboration with HR, Recruitment and Finance You'll have: 5 years’ experience in payroll management, leading teams in complex, multi-entity environments. Expert knowledge of payroll legislation, Awards, IFA’s, and complex payroll scenarios (terminations, redundancies, PIAWE). Experience with UKG Ready (Kronos) preferred, plus a passion for automation and system optimisation. Strong track record in compliance, reporting and payroll audits.
