The role An exciting opportunity has become available for a technically strong Senior Financial Accountant to join a well-established, globally recognised business undergoing significant growth and transformation. Backed by substantial investment and experiencing rapid expansion, this organisation is strengthening its finance function and is seeking a hands-on finance professional who can make an immediate impact. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting month-end close, balance sheet integrity, audit readiness, and process improvement initiatives. This position will suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and is comfortable navigating change while helping to build stronger financial processes and controls. Key Responsibilities Lead key month-end close activities including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations Prepare and maintain robust balance sheet reconciliations and audit-ready working papers Support statutory reporting, external audits, and compliance requirements Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial controls and reporting efficiency Partner with stakeholders across the business to ensure accurate and timely financial information About You CA/CPA qualified (or nearing completion) 5 years' experience in financial accounting roles Strong experience with month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and audit support Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong stakeholder relationships Resilient, proactive, and comfortable working within a growing and evolving business Experience with ERP systems, MYOB, Xero, or similar finance platforms What's on Offer Immediate start opportunity 6-month fixed-term contract with a respected global organisation Exposure to a business undergoing significant growth and transformation Collaborative and supportive team culture Onsite parking Competitive package of circa $120,000 Super For more information about this opportunity, please click apply to express interest for a confidential conversation, or contact Kate Bryant at Sharp & Carter kbryant@sharpandcarter.com.au
