The business is entering a period of continued growth, with increasing demand across its services and a clear focus on strengthening its internal operations. This role has been created to support that next stage, bringing leadership, structure, and coordination across administration, with responsibility for supporting key financial processes as the business evolves. The Role This is a key position responsible for leading the day-to-day administration function of the business, while also overseeing core financial processes. You will work closely with the owner and operational leaders, ensuring the office operates efficiently and that accurate financial information supports decision-making. Key responsibilities include: Oversee day-to-day office operations and lead a small administration team Manage and coordinate accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and collections Support payroll and routine compliance requirements including BAS and GST Prepare regular financial summaries to provide visibility across the business Assist with cash flow coordination through accurate reporting and administration Identify and implement improvements to administrative systems and financial processes Provide practical administrative support to the broader business on operational and organisational matters Act as a central point of coordination between administration, operations, and leadership What We're Looking For Relevant accounting or bookkeeping qualifications (degree or equivalent experience) Experience in an SME or operational environment with a hands-on approach Solid understanding of accounts processes, payroll, and basic compliance requirements Ability to take ownership of administrative functions while supporting financial processes Previous experience supervising or supporting a small team Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with non-finance stakeholders A practical, organised approach with a focus on efficiency and accuracy Confidence working across both administration and finance functions Experience with Xero (preferred) Remuneration The role of Administration Manager in Hobart is offered with a salary between $90,000 - $120,000 benefits.
