The Opportunity This is the most important role in the business — and they'll be the first to tell you that. They're looking for an experienced Estimator / Pre-Construction Manager to work directly with clients and the design team from the very first conversation through to construction handover. This is far more than a quoting role. You'll be a trusted advisor to clients, a value engineering expert, and a key connector between design intent and buildability. Day to day you'll be: Working directly with clients from the earliest stage, educating them on the process and understanding what they value most Preparing tiered estimates across ballpark, proposal, and full scope of work stages Producing detailed scope of work documentation — up to 50 pages — that complements architectural plans Value engineering scopes to bring projects within budget without compromising quality Identifying buildability issues early — spotting where engineering and architecture don't align and finding cost-effective solutions Working closely with the design team to ensure a seamless transition into construction Upholding the business's reputation for detail, process, and precision at every stage About You Proven experience in a pre-construction or estimating role within high-end residential construction A background in carpentry or a construction trade is highly regarded — buildability knowledge is key Strong communicator who is confident working directly with clients and managing their expectations Someone who values process, systems, and getting it right — not someone who churns through quotes Detail-driven and comfortable producing thorough, high-quality scope documentation Hungry to learn and open to doing things the right way within a structured pre-construction team Minimum 3 years' experience considered — plug-and-play preferred, but the right person matters more than years on paper What's On Offer $150,000 super — flexible for the right candidate, with budget that can stretch for exceptional experience Join a business where your role is genuinely valued as the engine room of the operation Work on high-end residential projects valued between $2M–$5M A structured pre-construction team and a strong support network around you A business that wins almost 1 in 2 quotes — because they do it properly Interested?
