Scrum Master - DevSecOps Globally recognised mining technology environment Brisbane CBD / 100% on site - Initial 12 month contract We're partnering with a globally recognised mining technology organisation to secure a senior Scrum Master - DevSecOps, supporting a growing, high-impact team delivering platform, automation, and security capabilities. This role is ideal for someone who can bring structure and leadership to a currently reactive environment, driving a shift toward proactive, predictable delivery. You'll work across distributed teams to embed DevSecOps practices, uplift Agile maturity, and align with scaled delivery frameworks. What you'll be doing Lead Agile coaching across a cross-functional DevSecOps team (local offshore) Bring structure and stability to a reactive environment, shifting teams toward proactive delivery Facilitate ceremonies aligned to flow, predictability, and delivery outcomes Manage collaboration across time zones, ensuring strong team alignment and communication Establish and optimise Kanban systems to improve visibility and throughput Remove blockers and address systemic delivery challenges (manual processes, inconsistent environments) Support DevSecOps adoption across CI/CD, IaC, and security-integrated pipelines Work closely with the Product Owner to shape and maintain a high-quality backlog Align DevSecOps ways of working with SAFe / ART cadence across engineering teams Provide clear reporting on delivery progress, risks, and performance metrics Leverage data and emerging tools (including AI where applicable) to enhance reporting and insights What you need to bring 5 years' experience as a Scrum Master in complex Agile environments Strong experience working in DevOps / DevSecOps or platform-focused teams Proven ability to stabilise teams and move them out of reactive / firefighting modes Experience working across distributed teams and multiple time zones Strong working knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe frameworks Experience aligning team delivery with ART cadence and scaled Agile practices Ability to work across both infrastructure (IaC) and application contexts Strong facilitation, coaching, and servant leadership mindset Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar delivery tools Bonus points for Scrum Master or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) certification Experience working alongside Product Owners in evolving delivery environments Exposure to Java-based systems or build/debug scenarios Experience driving DevSecOps maturity and platform standardisation Familiarity with AI tools for reporting, insights, or delivery optimisation Important to know Location: Brisbane CBD Work arrangement: Onsite 100% - 5 days a week Contract: Initial 12 month contract likely extension Opportunity to shape DevSecOps ways of working within a SAFe environment
