Sydney Wealth Management Contract or Temporary We’re looking for a talented Fixed Income Portfolio Analyst to join our client’s prestigious Private Wealth team in Sydney. This is an initial 12-month contract role based in Sydney CBD. As a Fixed Income Portfolio Analyst, you will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality investment solutions to their HNW/ UHNW private clients. This role provides technical and analytical investment support to Senior Wealth Advisors within a wealth management team. The focus is on producing high‑quality analytical reports, supporting portfolio analysis and reviews, and assisting with the management and implementation of multi‑asset and direct fixed income portfolios. The position suits a technically strong investment professional who enjoys deep analysis and high standards of analytical output.This is a non‑client‑facing role Responsibilities: Conducting in-depth research and analysis on fixed income securities, markets and economic trends to generate investment ideas and recommendations Building and maintaining complex financial models to assess the risk and return profiles of fixed income instruments Monitoring and reporting on the performance of fixed income portfolios, identifying opportunities for optimisation Collaborating with the Investment Committee to develop and implement fixed income investment strategies Conduct performance, attribution and risk analysis across discretionary and advisory portfolios. Providing timely and insightful market updates and commentary to private wealth clients Support and execute trades across asset classes (fixed income, equities, ETFs, alternatives) as required. Supporting the wider Private Wealth team with investment analysis, portfolio construction and client servicing What we’re looking for Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, economics or a related discipline CFA or similar professional qualification is highly regarded Minimum 5 years’ experience in fixed income portfolio analysis, preferably within a private wealth or asset management environment Demonstrated expertise in fixed income research, valuation and portfolio construction techniques Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights Excellent communication and client relationship skills, with the confidence to present to senior stakeholders Proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools such as Excel, Bloomberg and FactSet
