The opportunity Our Sydney office, which is made up of 200 staff and 25 partners, is looking for a Restructuring Accountant to join our Restructuring & Risk Advisory division based in our office in Barangaroo. As a Restructuring Accountant , you will join a small but growing team of 17: Take responsibility for the completion for some or all aspects of small to medium sized assignments as part of a team on Receiverships in property, businesses and other assets, Voluntary Administrations, Advisory engagements, Safe Harbour & Restructuring. Independently control and complete Creditors Voluntary Liquidations, Members Voluntary Liquidations and Corporate Closure engagements with assistance from junior team members managing the appointors via communication and information. Assist Directors & Partners with large and complex advisory assignments to build experience technical skills and delivery. Monitor engagement completion by using the internal systems, communication and experience. Be involved in firm wide seniors initiatives, development opportunities and networking to build your network across the firm and client base. Train and manage junior team members on engagements and processes to let you focus on the higher-level tasks reporting, investigation and analysis. Review completion of all standard administration tasks and assist with innovation tasks to improve efficiency and consistency as systems develop. Be involved in review and feedback for junior staff as part of the growth of the team as well as the celebration of project completion. About you As someone who takes pride in delivering quality outcomes. You’ll bring: Around 2-5 years’ experience in a Restructuring, Accounting or Audit environment Degree from a recognised university which is acceptable for admission to the CA program CA or CPA qualified (or near completed) Currently undertaking IEP (if CA Program is completed) Great communications skills upward and downward A drive for advancement, improvement and openness to change; and Willingness to be part of a supportive, developing team with interesting workflow Why join us We invest in our people because when you grow, so do we.
