SMAART Recruitment is looking for a Client Account Director / Key Account Manager to join a First Nations-led consultancy and creative agency in Mascot. This business help organisations build strong connections with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities through RAPs, cultural training, advice, and creative solutions that mix culture, art, and media with modern approaches. In this is a key role you'll be acting as the “red thread” across clients and craft teams, ensuring delivery is seamless, commercially sound, and culturally grounded. We’re looking for someone who can bring structure and client excellence to work that genuinely makes a difference. What you’ll be doing Leading key client relationships as a trusted senior contact Coordinating across internal teams and overseeing delivery to ensure consistent, high-quality output Ensuring all work is delivered on time, on brief, and to a high standard Running client meetings, planning sessions, and campaign reviews Supporting and managing a small team to excellent work Contributing to RFQs, tenders, and proposals with senior leadership Managing budgets, tracking jobs, invoicing, and reporting Driving account growth through strong client relationships and opportunity spotting What’s on offer Full time permanent position: $130,000 – $150,000 super A chance to work in a purpose-driven business creating real impact A highly varied role spanning client leadership, delivery oversight, and commercial responsibility Close access to senior leadership in a fast-growing environment A supportive, values-led culture and a collaborative team Up to 1 day WFH flexibility after probation The opportunity to contribute to meaningful First Nations engagement work across Australia What we’re looking for Experience in client account management and/or consulting, ideally within client, agency, creative or media environments Strong experience managing complex client relationships and multi-stream delivery Background in ESG, DEI, social impact, First Nations engagement or similar sectors would be ideal Confident stakeholder management working with senior clients Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets Adept with Microsoft Office and CRMs like HubSpot. Ability to understand what great work looks like and lead a team towards it Exposure to or interest in First Nations engagement or social impact work Proactive, self-motivated and able to adapt in a fast-moving environment This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team with a company where you can actually make a difference.
