As our Graduate Engineer working within the Assets team, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting the delivery of business initiatives while developing the technical, analytical and project management skills needed to become a future industry professional. Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll contribute to research, analysis, project delivery and continuous improvement activities that support Delta's operational and environmental objectives. What You'll Do: Support the delivery of projects, research, analysis, financial evaluations, risk assessments and business improvement activities within the Assets team. Participate in activities designed to develop your technical knowledge, competencies and professional skills within a heavy industry environment. Conduct research and investigation activities including data collection, testing, literature reviews, stakeholder engagement, surveying and modelling. Analyse research findings and present practical strategies, options and recommendations in a clear and logical manner. Provide technical and specialist support and advice to operational and maintenance teams as required. Assist with project management activities including planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, procurement and project reporting. Utilise Delta's systems and technologies including Microsoft Office, Objective and Ellipse to support operational and maintenance activities. Support the implementation of Delta's environmental, quality assurance, risk management and WH&S policies within projects and contract works. Assist with contractor compliance activities, including auditing WH&S, environmental controls, quality assurance and housekeeping standards. Promote safe work practices and environmental responsibility through proactive issue identification, investigation and compliance with statutory and corporate requirements. What You'll Bring: Degree qualifications in an Engineering or Science discipline. Substantial knowledge and experience in analysis and research techniques, including the use of research methods and the documentation and the presentation findings. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely. A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute within a collaborative team environment. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. A commitment to ongoing learning and development. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and an interest in developing technical and project management capabilities.
