Job Role The Head of Site Infrastructure & Services is responsible for leading the planning, construction, maintenance, and operational management of all site infrastructure and essential services supporting remote mining operations. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability, availability, and continuous improvement of site facilities, utilities, accommodation, workshops, roads, and supporting infrastructure required for efficient mining activities. Working closely with mining operations, logistics, procurement, contractors, and executive leadership, the successful candidate will oversee infrastructure projects, preventative maintenance programs, contractor performance, and utility operations while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards. This position is highly suitable for experienced infrastructure and facilities leaders who are comfortable managing large multidisciplinary teams within demanding remote mining environments. Key Responsibilities Lead the planning, construction, and delivery of site infrastructure projects including accommodation camps, workshops, warehouses, roads, drainage systems, bridges, and operational facilities. Manage site utilities including power generation, water supply, wastewater treatment, fuel storage, and supporting services to ensure uninterrupted mining operations. Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs covering buildings, utilities, mechanical facilities, workshops, camp infrastructure, and other site assets. Supervise multidisciplinary maintenance teams, contractors, and external service providers while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements. Monitor project schedules, budgets, contractor performance, and engineering quality to ensure timely project delivery and effective resource utilization. Coordinate closely with mining operations, logistics, procurement, camp operations, security, and community affairs to support operational requirements. Conduct regular site inspections, identify infrastructure risks, and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and operational performance. Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and statutory regulations across all infrastructure and facilities activities. Prepare infrastructure performance reports, maintenance plans, project updates, and operational recommendations for executive management. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on infrastructure reliability, operational efficiency, cost optimization, and long-term asset sustainability. Requirements Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline. Minimum 10 years of experience in infrastructure project delivery, facilities management, civil construction, heavy industrial maintenance, or related operational leadership roles. Proven experience within mining, oil & gas, heavy industrial operations, large infrastructure projects, or other remote site environments. Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary maintenance teams, contractors, and large-scale infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of civil construction, utilities, power generation, water treatment, roads, drainage systems, workshops, and site facilities management. Experience developing preventative maintenance systems, asset management programs, and infrastructure reliability initiatives. Strong contractor management, project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination capabilities. Excellent leadership, decision-making, communication, and problem-solving skills within complex operational environments. Strong commitment to workplace safety, operational discipline, and regulatory compliance. Willingness to work on FIFO or remote site rotational assignments. Valid driver's license is required.
