Mining opportunity on a 5/2 roster, 7am-3pm with genuine work/life balance Refurbishment works across operational sites - varied scope of work Long-term pathway into mine-based project work The Opportunity A Project Engineer position is available with a well-established mining principal in regional Victoria, working across an exciting 18-month building program. This role involves refurbishment and upgrade works to existing infrastructure across two separate sites, including buildings that remain operational and occupied by personnel during works. The Roster 5/2 roster, working 7am to 3pm - enjoy a healthy work/life balance with your weekends free. The Role We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join a growing team delivering a major 18-month building and infrastructure program across two sites. You will be responsible for organising labour, reading and interpreting plans, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on schedule and to specification - including projects carried out around live operational areas. There is also an opportunity to transition into mine-based projects following completion of the build. Your duties will include, but not limited to: - Organise labour and resources to ensure works are carried out efficiently and to plan Read and interpret project plans and drawings to ensure works meet design intent Manage and coordinate contractors on site, taking responsibility for project completion Ensure awareness of environmental impacts when working in and around occupied buildings Liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure projects have correct permits and approvals Contribute to infrastructure and tailings dam related works where required Your value Tertiary qualifications in engineering Experience in a project focused role within the mining or construction sector Understanding of environmental considerations when working in occupied buildings Strong communication skills & the ability to build rapport and negotiate with stakeholders Mining experience advantageous (infrastructure, tailings dams) - particularly for candidates interested in transitioning into mine-based projects The ability to work autonomously and within a close-knit team What's on offer?
