Senior Finance/Accounts Manager (Law Firm) HEAD of Accounts HAVE IT ALL – Leadership, Autonomy, Variety, Satisfaction. 1st class plaintiff law firm. $80,000-$120,000. SYDNEY. YOUR ROLE In this autonomous, hands-on role leadership role with the support of 2 experienced accounts officers, you will be responsible for the firm’s entire accounting function. In particular, you will be overseeing/be responsible for: accounts payable/accounts receivable, bank and general ledger reconciliations, month end/ EOFY reporting, trust accounting/controlled monies, cashflows, PAYG, BAS and GST, payroll, credit card transactions/reconciliations, petty cash and trust audits; ensuring corporate governance compliance; reviewing/documenting/improving accounting systems/processes; mentoring/training staff. WHO YOU ARE We are interested in hearing from you if you: Have a diploma/certificate/degree in accounting/bookkeeping; have minimum 5-20 years hands-on experience as a bookkeeper/accountant; have worked for a law firm/legal industry with trust accounting experience [essential]; have used Affinity or Locus accounting software [preferable not essential] have experience supervising staff [preferable]; have strong numeracy skills accuracy keen eye for detail ; are efficient deadline-driven ; have proven ability to thrive in a busy multi-tasking environment; can commit LONG-TERM to a permanent full-time role.
