EL1 Master Scheduler Key Details Duration: 12 months with the opportunity for 2 x 12 month extensions Location: Canberra, ACT Security Clearance: NV1 (Negative Vetting Level 1) required Hourly rate: $80 - $90 About the Role Our federal government client is seeking an experienced Master Scheduler to play a pivotal role within a large-scale, complex capability program. You will be responsible for developing, integrating, and maintaining comprehensive master schedules that support the successful delivery of complex projects and operational activities. This role ensures delivery is on time, within scope, and aligned with budget expectations by working closely with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders across the full project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage an integrated master schedule across projects and operations Align schedules with dependencies, constraints, and resource availability Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define milestones and deliverables Identify scheduling risks, issues, and conflicts and develop mitigation strategies Monitor progress and proactively address delays or performance issues Facilitate regular schedule reviews and project status discussions Produce reports, dashboards, and visualisations on performance and key metrics Continuously improve scheduling processes, tools, and methodologies Train and mentor teams on scheduling best practices Coordinate with procurement and resource teams to align scheduling with capacity Skills and Experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including critical path analysis Proficiency in scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera Experience managing complex schedules in dynamic, multi-project environments Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Strong organisational and time management capabilities Proven ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities Leadership capability to influence and guide teams Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices Experience using reporting and data visualisation tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau) Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field Demonstrated experience as a Master Scheduler or similar role Project management certification (e.g. PMP ) highly desirable Strong knowledge of project management principles, tools, and methodologies Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Mandatory Requirements Ability to obtain and maintain NV1 security clearance and employment suitability How to Apply: To apply, click the Apply Now button and send your up-to-date resume, for a confidential discussion call us now on 02 5119 3133.
