About the role This is a client-facing operations role with a strong focus on portfolio events (transitions), working closely with internal stakeholders and clients across the APAC region. You will act as a central point of coordination for key portfolio events including account launches, transitions, custodian changes, and terminations, ensuring seamless delivery and a high level of client service. In addition, this role plays a critical function providing day-to-day operational support to Client Account Managers, enabling them to focus on client acquisition and relationship management. This role requires a combination of project management, operational expertise, and stakeholder engagement, working closely with Client Account Managers, Portfolio Managers, Trading Teams, and external custodians. Your key responsibilities will include: Lead and coordinate portfolio events including account launches, transitions, custodian changes, and terminations; Act as the central point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of portfolio events; Track and manage timelines, risks, and dependencies across multiple workstreams; Oversee post-implementation activities, identifying and resolving any issues; Manage relationships with external custodians, ensuring consistent and effective operating models; Provide ongoing operational support to Client Account Managers, acting as a key internal partner to enhance client servicing and efficiency; Manage the full account lifecycle from mandate inception through to closure, including account opening, funding, product changes, and terminations; Coordinate closely with custodians to ensure successful account setup, funding on launch date, and ongoing account maintenance; Facilitate account changes such as mandate updates, product switches, and custodian transitions in line with client instructions; Support efficient portfolio liquidation and account closures, ensuring a smooth and controlled process; Respond to day-to-day client queries such as account balances, operational processes, and account status updates; Respond to complex operational client queries across areas including custody, audit, regulatory reporting, and trading activity; Support operational due diligence processes and client review sessions; AND Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency across workflows. Qualifications, skills, and experience required include: 5 years’ experience in transitions, client operations, or investment operations within asset management or custody; Strong experience managing portfolio events such as transitions, account setups, or custodial changes; Understanding of investment operations including portfolios, cash flows, and reporting processes; Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and stakeholder engagement; Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders; Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines; Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities; Intermediate Excel skills, with broader systems experience advantageous; AND Familiarity with regulatory environments and operational governance frameworks.
