Finance Manager (Contract) – Healthcare | CBD | Immediate Start An opportunity exists for a technically strong Senior Accountant / Manager to join a growing healthcare organisation. This role is ideally suited to a 2nd mover from Big 4 / mid-tier audit who is immediately available and looking to step into a hands-on industry role with strong technical exposure. Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, supporting external audit requirements, and working through complex technical and historical accounting matters. This is a highly visible role where you will also contribute to strengthening financial controls, improving reporting processes, and supporting broader finance transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards and IFRS Support statutory financial statement preparation and year-end reporting Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements Assist with quarterly bank and covenant reporting Deliver accurate and timely management reporting for senior stakeholders. Provide technical accounting support across a range of complex matters Manage IFRS 16 Lease Accounting across multiple sites and facilities Investigate and remediate historical accounting issues, ensuring appropriate treatment and documentation Support assessments relating to discontinued operations and structural changes Contribute to the review and enhancement of accounting policies and processes Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation Act as a key liaison with external auditors during interim and year-end audits Manage audit queries and ensure timely resolution of issues Support improvements to financial controls and governance frameworks Review and reconcile complex balance sheet accounts Identify and resolve legacy accounting issues and discrepancies Support process improvement initiatives to improve accuracy and efficiency Contribute to finance transformation and continuous improvement projects Oversee inventory accounting and reconciliation processes. Key Skills: CA or CPA qualified (or near completion) Big 4 / mid-tier audit background strongly preferred Senior auditor or 2nd mover currently in, or recently out of, audit Strong technical accounting knowledge with IFRS and Australian Accounting Standards Experience with IFRS 16 lease accounting Exposure to external audit processes and statutory reporting Strong balance sheet reconciliation and problem-solving capability Exposure to inventory accounting advantageous Advanced Excel and strong attention to detail Immediately available or on short notice preferred How to apply To apply online, please click on the appropriate link below.
