Operational Technology Technician | Hail Creek Coal Mine | 7/7 Roster Join a leading mining technology team supporting production critical systems at Glencore's Hail Creek Mine About We are seeking experienced Operational Technology Technicians to support critical mining technology systems at Glencore's Hail Creek Coal Mine , located approximately 90 minutes from Mackay. This is a permanent, site-based role focused on the ongoing support, maintenance, and reliability of production critical Operational Technology systems. Unlike project-based telecommunications roles, this position is embedded within day-to-day mine operations where uptime, reliability, and rapid fault response are critical to production and safety outcomes. What's On Offer Full time permanent position 7 on 7 off rotating day and night roster Camp accommodation provided whilst on roster Competitive hourly rate of $57 to $65 per hour plus super, depending on experience Long term role supporting a Tier 1 mining operation Opportunity to work with industry leading mining technology systems Immediate start available The Role As an Operational Technology Technician, you will provide technical support and maintenance across a range of production critical systems operating within a live mining environment. Working closely with site operations, maintenance teams, and technology vendors, you will play a key role in ensuring the ongoing reliability and availability of OT infrastructure and fleet technology systems. Your responsibilities will include: Fault finding and troubleshooting production critical OT systems Preventative and corrective maintenance activities Supporting fleet management, safety, and operational technology systems Maintaining wireless communications and network infrastructure Assisting with system upgrades and technology improvements Supporting operational uptime and minimising system downtime Working safely and effectively within a mining environment Liaising with site stakeholders and technology providers to resolve technical issues Technology Environment You will be exposed to a range of mining technologies including: Collision Avoidance Systems (CAS) Hexagon systems Modular Fleet Management Systems CAT Terrain systems Wireless communications and network infrastructure Operational Technology and mining production systems About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: Certificate III in Telecommunications or equivalent qualification Experience working within mining, heavy industrial, or Operational Technology environments Strong fault finding and troubleshooting capability Experience supporting operational or production critical systems Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong commitment to safety and quality outcomes Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Highly Regarded Experience with Modular, Hexagon, CAT Terrain, or similar fleet systems Experience with Collision Avoidance Systems Experience supporting wireless or mining communications networks Previous Operational Technology or Mining Technology experience Experience working on coal mining operations Compliance requirements Coal Mine Workers Health Scheme (Coal Board Medical) or ability to obtain Current Driver Licence Ability to meet mine site access and compliance requirements Why Apply?
