About the Opportunity - Leading HRIS Transformation Journey This is a hands-on, fixed-term opportunity to lead the successful implementation of a new Human Resource Information System (HRIS). You will act as the key liaison between internal stakeholders and the external implementation partner, ensuring the system is delivered on time, within scope, and fully compliant with Australian regulatory requirements. With a strong focus on Core HR and Payroll, you’ll also support performance management, recruitment, and learning systems, driving both technical delivery and organisational readiness. Key Responsibilities HRIS Implementation & Data Management Lead data migration, cleansing, and mapping of employee records into the new system Design and implement automated employee lifecycle workflows (onboarding to offboarding) Configure intuitive employee and manager self-service functionalities Payroll & Compliance Translate payroll structures, awards, and agreements into system configuration Lead payroll testing, including parallel runs to ensure 100% accuracy Ensure compliance with Australian legislation, including STP Phase 2 and superannuation requirements Project Governance & Vendor Management Act as the primary point of contact for the HRIS implementation partner Manage deliverables against the project plan and Statement of Work Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and issue resolution Change Management & Training Develop and deliver change management strategies to support adoption Partner with stakeholders to deliver training across HR, Payroll, and broader workforce Drive system engagement and readiness across the organisation Your Experience, Knowledge & Skills You are a highly organised and proactive HRIS specialist with a strong blend of technical, project, and stakeholder management skills. You thrive in complex environments and bring a practical, solutions-focused approach. Proven experience delivering end-to-end HRIS implementations (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors, Dayforce, Chris21, ELMO, HiBob) Strong understanding of Australian payroll, awards, and compliance requirements Demonstrated experience managing vendors and implementation partners Advanced data management and Excel capabilities (data cleansing, migration preparation) Strong change management capability and experience driving system adoption Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language Location With mutliple office locations, there is the flexibility to be based in Brisbane, Gold Coast or Nothern New South Wales.
