A newly created opportunity exists for an experienced Business Development Manager to join the Food & Pharmaceutical division, focused on driving growth in registered pharmaceutical testing services . This role is based in Rydalmere with a hybrid working arrangement and responsibility for both Sydney and some Melbourne accounts. Reporting to the General Manager, you will join a supportive national commercial team and play a key role in expanding the organisation’s client base in a competitive, technical market. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven professional who enjoys building and growing a portfolio, developing long-term client relationships and delivering results in a specialist scientific services environment. The Role You will play a key role in driving new business growth and strengthening market presence across pharmaceutical testing services. Working closely with internal technical and client service teams, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing client relationships, and converting prospects into long-term partnerships. This position offers genuine scope to take ownership of a developing market segment and contribute directly to the organisation’s continued commercial success. Key Responsibilities Drive new business development across pharmaceutical testing services Build and grow a strong pipeline of new and emerging client opportunities Develop and manage long-term client relationships across NSW and VIC Identify market trends and convert opportunities within a competitive technical environment Prepare, submit, and negotiate proposals, pricing, and tender responses Manage inbound sales enquiries and convert leads into new business Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity reporting Collaborate with technical, laboratory, and client services teams to support delivery Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and client meetings Support broader commercial and marketing initiatives as required About You Proven experience in Business Development or Account Management within laboratory testing or a technical services environment Strong track record of winning new business and growing client portfolios Confident communicator with strong influencing and negotiation skills Ability to operate in a regulated, scientific, or technically complex industry Highly organised with strong attention to detail and follow-through Proficient in CRM systems and sales pipeline management Self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable working in a target-driven environment What’s on Offer Highly competitive remuneration package Hybrid working model (2–3 days in office) Opportunity to work within a global, well-established testing organisation Strong national commercial support structure Genuine opportunity to build and own a growing market segment How to Apply Apply online.
