Role Purpose The Carpenter is responsible for carrying out skilled carpentry work across construction, repair, maintenance, and installation projects. The role supports the company’s service delivery by ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, on time, and in line with project requirements, building standards, and client expectations. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret plans, drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install timber and other building materials. Construct, install, and repair wall frames, roof structures, flooring, doors, windows, and fittings. Build and install formwork, frameworks, partitions, and internal structures. Select suitable materials, tools, and equipment for each task. Carry out repairs, maintenance, and modifications to existing structures. Ensure all carpentry work meets quality, safety, and project requirements. Follow Australian building codes, WHS requirements, and site procedures. Coordinate with supervisors, tradespeople, suppliers, and clients as required. Maintain tools, equipment, materials, and work areas in safe condition. Identify defects, hazards, delays, and material issues promptly. Keep basic job records, measurements, material usage, and progress updates. Support efficient work practices to reduce waste, rework, and delays. Assist with site preparation, clean-up, and safe material handling. Contribute to a professional, safe, and team-focused workplace. What We Are Looking For Minimum one (1) year of relevant carpentry or construction experience. Relevant qualification in carpentry, construction, building, or a related trade field. Strong skills in measuring, cutting, framing, fixing, and installation. Sound knowledge of WHS practices and safe construction site procedures. Ability to read plans, use hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment.
