ABOUT THE ROLE Reporting to the Head of Finance, this Financial Accountant role will take ownership of financial reporting, compliance and month-end processes while providing valuable commercial insights to support business performance. Working closely with stakeholders across multiple functions, you'll play a key role in maintaining financial integrity, driving process improvements and contributing to finance transformation initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant looking to broaden their experience within a dynamic global organisation while gaining exposure to senior stakeholders and strategic projects. DUTIES Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including sub-ledgers, inventory, accruals, prepayments and lease accounting Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and oversee balance sheet reconciliations Prepare and support tax compliance activities including BAS, FBT, payroll tax and income tax requirements Coordinate quarterly intercompany reconciliations Manage external audit processes and liaise with auditors, advisors and regulatory bodies Deliver financial analysis, variance reporting and performance insights to support decision-making Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen controls and reporting efficiencies Support finance transformation and system enhancement initiatives Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and documentation Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide financial guidance and support Perform ad hoc financial analysis and accounting projects as required SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline CA/CPA qualified or working towards completion 3-5 years' experience in financial accounting, external audit or a similar finance role Strong understanding of IFRS/AASB accounting standards and financial reporting requirements Experience using SAP and advanced Microsoft Excel skills Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management capabilities Experience within a medium-to-large corporate environment will be highly regarded Continuous improvement mindset with a proactive, collaborative approach BENEFITS $50-$55 per hour super Flexible WFH arrangements Modern offices with two kitchens, an onsite gym and free parking Opportunity to work for a globally recognised organisation Exposure to senior stakeholders and strategic business initiatives Career development and progression opportunities Collaborative, high-performing team environment Opportunity to contribute to finance transformation and process improvement projects OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS At Lotus People, we are committed to fostering diversity, equity and inclusion.
