Enviro-dynamics delivers the Derwent Catchment Project (DCP), a landscape-scale initiative coordinating practical nature repair and catchment management activities across the Central Highlands, Derwent Valley and Brighton municipalities. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Biosecurity Project Officer to lead regional biosecurity collaboration and drive the implementation of key strategic threat mitigation projects across the Derwent Catchment. This role will work closely with landholders, industry groups, government agencies and community stakeholders to strengthen biosecurity preparedness, coordinate landscape-scale action and deliver practical outcomes that protect environmental, agricultural and community assets. A key focus of the position will be leading implementation of priority actions from the Derwent Catchment Biosecurity Plan and coordinating strategic threat mitigation projects as part of a national Nature Repair Pilot. What You Will Be Doing Strengthen and grow the Derwent Catchment Biosecurity Network through engagement with landholders, industry, government and community stakeholders. Promote best-practice biosecurity management and preparedness across the catchment. Support implementation of priority actions identified in the Derwent Catchment Biosecurity Plan. Identify opportunities to address implementation gaps and secure resources for priority initiatives. Coordinate stakeholder engagement and delivery of strategic threat mitigation projects. Monitor and evaluate project outcomes and contribute to adaptive management approaches. Prepare plans, reports and communications materials. Manage project budgets, records, monitoring programs and performance reporting. Identify opportunities to expand regional biosecurity initiatives and attract investment. Contribute to broader catchment management, restoration and nature repair outcomes across the region. About You Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, natural resource management, agriculture, biosecurity, ecology or a related discipline. Experience in biosecurity, invasive species management, agricultural extension or a related field. Knowledge of Tasmanian biosecurity legislation, policy and governance frameworks. Experience working with landholders, industry groups, government agencies and community organisations. Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills. Strong project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience developing project plans, budgets, funding applications and reports. The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. A current Australian Driver's Licence. Why join Enviro-dynamics?
