As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals with disabilities, empowering them to live independently and achieve their personal goals. What you’ll be doing Assisting clients with daily living activities, such as personal care, medication management, meal preparation, and household tasks Facilitating social and recreational activities to promote clients’ wellbeing and community engagement Advocating for clients’ rights and ensuring their needs are met Documenting client progress, incidents, and other relevant information Participating in team meetings and ongoing training to enhance your professional development Collaborating with allied health professionals, families, and other stakeholders to deliver coordinated support What we’re looking for Completion of a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification in the disability or community services field Demonstrated experience in providing person-centred support to individuals with a range of disabilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients Compassion, patience, and a genuine commitment to empowering clients and promoting their independence Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays A current driver’s licence and reliable transportation What we offer At Ario Care’, we are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive workplace where our employees can thrive.
