Indigeco is supporting one of Australia's top law firms to source a First Nations Executive Assistant for a full-time maternity leave contract opportunity. This position supports a Partner and a team of lawyers within a collaborative and high-performing environment and is ideally suited to an experienced Executive Assistant, Legal Assistant, or Team Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced professional services setting, builds strong stakeholder relationships, and delivers exceptional administrative support. About the Role As Executive Assistant, you will provide high-level administrative, organisational, and operational support to senior legal professionals. You will play a critical role in ensuring matters are managed efficiently, deadlines are met, and clients receive a consistently high standard of service. Working closely with the Partners and lawyers, you will be responsible for coordinating workflows, managing legal documentation, supporting billing processes, and providing day-to-day administrative assistance across a busy practice. Key Responsibilities Manage legal documents and files across multiple matters, including file opening, maintenance, updates, and closure Prepare correspondence and assist with the production of matter-related documents Coordinate briefs and liaise with clients, counsel, and internal stakeholders Manage diaries, inboxes, appointments, and competing priorities Screen and prioritise calls, emails, and correspondence Support monthly billing activities for the partner and account reconciliation Coordinate travel arrangements, accommodation, and meeting logistics Manage document production, printing, collation, and distribution Provide administrative support across the broader team as required Assist with onboarding activities and team coordination Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with firm policies and procedures Key Requirements Previous experience as an Executive Assistant, Legal Assistant, Team Assistant, or similar support role Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Well-developed written and verbal communication skills Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capability High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality Proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite and administrative systems Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment Flexible, proactive, and solutions-focused approach What's on Offer Opportunity to join one of Australia's most prestigious law firms Supportive and inclusive workplace culture Exposure to high-profile legal matters and senior stakeholders Professional development and career growth opportunities If this sounds like an interesting opportunity, then apply today.
