The Volunteer Bar Attendant provides friendly and efficient beverage service to patrons, members, and guests. This role is essential for delivering high-level customer service and supporting club operational requirements, particularly during functions or weekend events. Key Responsibilities and Duties • Beverage Service: Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including beer, wine, spirits, and mixed drinks. • Customer Interaction: Greet members and guests warmly, providing attentive customer service in a professional manner. • Bar Maintenance & Hygiene: Ensure the bar area, tables, and glassware are clean and hygienic, following strict cleaning routines before, during, and after shifts. • Stock Management: Replenish refrigerators, shelves, and drink dispensers, and tap kegs as necessary. • Compliance: Adhere strictly to Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) regulations and local licensing laws. • Safety & Cleanliness: Monitor the venue for safety hazards, collect empty glasses and bottles, and clean up spills promptly. • Cash Handling: Operate the POS system or cash register to collect payments and process member sales accurately. • Function Support: Assist with setting up for functions, events, or promotions as required.
