PowerStack modular solar poles are a sustainable, cost-effective way to power safety, security, and smart technologies for commercial and community projects. The vertically integrated solar poles can be used to power everything from security cameras to street lighting, to IoT sensors and smart city infrastructure. We work with clients across local and state government, transport, commercial property and industrial manufacturing. In a scale-up phase, we’ve achieved a lot with a small team and are now looking to expand production capabilities as our pipeline and product range grows. The Role: We’re looking for an electrical assembly and production technician who is keen to grow their career. Electrical trade qualifications are not a requirement, however those with relevant electrical assembly and manufacturing experience will be highly regarded. This is a full time, ongoing salaried position based at our manufacturing facility in Berkeley, Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm standard work hours. Typical responsibilities include: Manufacture of solar poles: Production and assembly of core external components to build solar pole systems. Electrical system assembly: Assemble and configure the electrical systems that power our solar poles. Quality assurance & testing: Conduct rigorous testing to ensure product quality and functionality. Testing and assessment: Testing and evaluating third party electrical devices for compatibility and aiding with electrical system design. Electrical Product range testing: testing owned components and designs to help bring these to market. Sourcing and procurement: Helping with pick up and goods delivery/receiving and freight booking. Onsite installation & maintenance: Participate in the installation and maintenance of solar power poles at client sites. Office administration: General business admin and processing. Key Requirements: Experience: 2 years in a relevant electrical or production technician role. Experience in the Electrical sector and/or Manufacturing. Existing, valid/current white card and forklift license. Critical skills: Strong problem-solving ability, critical thinking, and attention to detail. Team player: Work well within a collaborative, innovative environment, able to take direction and follow established procedures. Self-starter: Take initiative, adapt to challenges, and complete tasks independently when required. Digital/Computer literacy: Must be proficient with word processing, spreadsheet tools and basic office software programs. Full working rights: Must have the unrestricted right to live and work in Australia permanently, for example through Australian citizenship or permanent residency. Not required but highly regarded: Relevant electrical trade licenses or certificates, knowledge and/or experience of PV solar systems.
