We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Senior Geologist to lead exploration programs and support project development across a diverse range of commodities and geological settings in WA. The Role as a Project Geologist, you will play a critical role in the planning and execution of exploration activities, including AC, RC and diamond drilling programs, field mapping, resource development, and mentoring junior staff. This position suits a well-rounded geologist with proven project leadership skills and the ability to work autonomously in the field. Key Responsibilities Design and oversee AC, RC and DD drilling programs Manage geological mapping, sampling, logging, and data interpretation Lead field-based teams and liaise with drill contractors, laboratories, and clients Develop and maintain geological models using software such as Micromine, Leapfrog, and ArcGIS/QGIS Monitor QA/QC protocols and ensure compliance with JORC reporting standards Deliver accurate technical reports, including daily updates and end-of-program reviews Support HSE initiatives and foster a strong safety culture on site Skills & Experience Required BSc or MSc in Geology or related Earth Science discipline Minimum 6 years’ experience in mineral exploration, with a focus on precious and/or base metals Strong technical skills in structural geology, drill supervision, and geological modelling Hands-on experience in remote field settings across WA or similar terrains Meet WA Statutory Supervisor Schedule 26 requirements preferred. Proficient in Micromine, Leapfrog, ArcGIS/QGIS, and MS Office Suite Valid C-class manual driver’s licence (4WD experience preferred) Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage teams and liaise with stakeholders Current First Aid certificate and ability to pass pre-employment medical and D&A screening Why Join AES?
