About the role Denmac Industries is seeking a Business Development Manager (Construction) to join our dynamic sales team. This is a full-time position based in Wangara, WA 6065. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities within the construction sector. You will play a crucial part in driving our growth strategy and expanding our market presence across Western Australia and beyond. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's trajectory whilst building and nurturing key relationships with construction industry partners. Key responsibilities Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction sector, including potential clients, partnerships and market segments Develop and execute targeted business development strategies to meet and exceed sales targets and revenue goals Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, contractors, project managers and decision-makers in the construction industry Prepare compelling proposals, quotations and tender responses that showcase the value of Denmac Industries' solutions Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategy and identify emerging opportunities Attend industry events, trade shows and networking functions to promote the company and generate leads Collaborate with internal teams including operations, technical and finance to ensure seamless delivery of solutions to new clients Monitor pipeline progress, forecast revenue and provide regular reporting on business development activities and outcomes Negotiate contracts and terms to secure favourable agreements that benefit both Denmac Industries and our clients What we're looking for 3 years of proven experience in business development, sales or similar role, preferably within the construction, manufacturing or industrial sectors Strong knowledge of the construction industry, including key players, market trends and procurement processes Demonstrated track record of successfully identifying, securing and closing new business opportunities Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders Self-motivated and results-driven with a strong work ethic and commitment to achieving targets Proven ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities whilst maintaining attention to detail Sound business acumen with understanding of P&L, financial metrics and commercial principles Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (experience with sales management software is advantageous) Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within Western Australia as required Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team What we offer At Denmac Industries, we are committed to supporting our employees' career development and wellbeing.
