About the role: We are looking for an experienced Field Services Supervisor to lead our Western Region field services team and drive growth in our field services offering. This is a hands-on leadership role. You will be the face of OPS in the field: the primary point of contact for customers, the escalation point for your team and a key contributor to growing the field services revenue base across the region. The role reports to the Western Region Manager and works closely with the broader Service & Technical team. Responsibilities Manage daily deployment of field technicians to resolve breakdowns, deliver scheduled maintenance and fulfil site-based service requirements across the Western Region Coordinate with customers to schedule field visits, confirm site access and communicate job status and outcomes Attend site to supervise or support technicians during complex breakdowns, commissioning or escalated technical issues Oversee quoting, job costing, invoicing and WIP management to ensure timely close-out and accurate revenue capture Identify and pursue business development opportunities across the region, with a focus on growing preventative and scheduled maintenance programs Build and maintain strong customer relationships, converting fleet needs and service gaps into new or expanded work scopes Prepare and present field service proposals, maintenance program offerings and quotations Lead, supervise and develop your team of field technicians, managing performance and capability in consultation with HR About you Trade qualification in mechanical, heavy equipment or similar Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior field service or technical role, with at least some supervisory or team leadership experience Strong background in mobile plant, screening & crushing or heavy industrial equipment Demonstrated experience managing field service operations including scheduling, quoting, invoicing and WIP Commercial mindset with confidence in a customer-facing and business development context Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — you build trust with customers and bring your team along with you Intermediate computer literacy (MS Office Suite, job management or ERP systems, iAuditor or similar) Strong commitment to HSET compliance and safe work practices Current Australian Driver’s Licence What we offer you Competitive salary package uplifts Company vehicle, mobile, laptop and credit card Permanent full-time role (Monday – Friday) Modern, well-equipped workshop facility Supportive team environment with strong technical backing Who we are The OPS Group is a privately owned, 100% Australian owned and operated group of companies, established in 1989 with a core focus on providing professional equipment supply and after-market service to the mining, quarrying, screening, crushing, blockmaking, construction and earthmoving industries.
