The Position VEEM are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Fitter/ Workshop Supervisor to oversee and inspire a team of Fitters and Apprentices in the meticulous overhauling of high-value, precision components. Adapting to dynamic production schedules to meet customer demands effectively. Ensuring all work meets high workmanship standards and upholds safety protocols. Creating a positive and reliable work environment for the team. Communicating with various customers, building strong relationships, and understanding their needs. Planning, estimating and scheduling detailed job cards in liaison with customers to meet their needs. Coordinating the procurement of components and materials. Offering problem-solving and troubleshooting support for customer requirements. Assisting Fitters in resolving job-specific challenges. Training Apprentices to develop their skills. Overseeing maintenance of our plant and equipment. Your experience To be considered for the position, you will have: Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing supervision or similar management role Relevant mechanical fitting qualifications at a trade certificate level or higher. Good understanding of quality management systems and process control. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including report writing. Demonstrated successful experience in a front facing customer consulting and advisory role. Good organisation and planning skills.
