Canning Vale - Full-time Camco Engineering is a recognised industry leader providing high-quality services to the mining and resources sector. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Design Draftsperson to join our team at our Canning Vale facility. About the Role: We are looking for a candidate with strong experience in the repair and manufacture of mining process equipment and other fixed plant infrastructure. This role requires solid 3D modelling skills and a sound understanding of workshop manufacturing practices. Key Responsibilities: Create accurate 3D models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks. Reverse engineer and measure existing mechanical and structural components with a high degree of accuracy. Work closely with workshop teams to support engineering and manufacturing processes. Ensure all drafting work meets required client specifications, Australian standards, quality assurance (QA) standards, within tight project timelines. About You: A minimum of 5 - 6 years’ experience as a mechanical design draftsperson, ideally within the mining, manufacturing or heavy industrial sector. Proficient in 3D modelling, creating shop detail drawings using SolidWorks or other similar 3D CAD systems. Hands-on experience with reverse engineering and component measurement. Previous workshop exposure to machining, fabrication and fitting processes is highly regarded. Excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) is highly regarded.
