Cannon Trailers is a busy trailer manufacturing workshop based in Crows Nest. We are currently looking for multiple reliable workers to join our team. These roles cover a mix of general trade assistant duties, steel cutting, and trailer fit-out work depending on your experience. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced workshop. We’re looking for people who are reliable, switched on, and ready to work About the Role Assisting boilermakers and tradesmen Handling steel and materials Operating workshop equipment (in particular cold saw and band saw) Cutting steel to size from cutting lists General workshop cleaning and prep Trailer Fit-Out Duties May Include: Installing toolboxes, pinch weld rubber and seals Fitting chrome handles, mudflaps, tyres and guards Assisting auto electricians and running wiring/lighting Installing pneumatic and hydraulic rams Fitting effluent tanks, air tanks, and associated plumbing Running air lines and brake components Fitting scaffolding as catwalks Installing aluminium cladding to trailer walls Mounting spare wheel carriers and general components Adjusting doors, latches, hinges and final fitment General final assembly and pre-delivery preparation What We’re Looking For Strong work ethic and reliability (turn up every day, on time) Good attitude and willingness to learn Physically fit and capable of manual work Ability to follow instructions and work in a team Basic tool knowledge Highly Regarded Experience in a workshop or labouring role Experience with trailer or vehicle fit-out Experience operating cold saws or band saws Ability to read measurements accurately Forklift licence Experience in trailer fit-out or similar mechanical assembly will be prioritised What We Offer Casual positions available Ongoing work for the right candidates Opportunity to learn fabrication and fitting skills Transport from Toowoomba Available $27 – $35 per hour (depending on experience) Located at 17 Timber Street, Crows Nest QLD Apply in person or send your resume to cannontr.com
