Wood Machinist Company: Bradco Holdings Full-time Position: 40 hours per week Location: 35 Grice Street, Clontarf QLD 4019 Pay: $78,146.00 per year As our B-Grade Machinist, you will be a key player in our mill operations, ensuring high-efficiency production runs. Your focus will be on maintaining output quality and volume using established templates, jigs, and pre-ground tooling. Your daily responsibilities will include: Machine Operation: Setting up and operating standard woodworking machinery, including thicknessers, planers, buzzers, and basic CNC routers. Standard Setups: Utilizing existing templates and "off-the-shelf" tooling to prepare machines for repetitive production runs. Production Efficiency: Monitoring machine performance and feed speeds during long runs to ensure consistent quality. Routine Maintenance: Performing basic daily maintenance, such as changing pre-sharpened blades and clearing dust extraction systems. Safety & Compliance: Adhering strictly to WHS protocols and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) to maintain a safe workspace. About You You are a reliable, safety-conscious operator with a strong work ethic and a keen eye for detail. Experienced: You have 2 years of experience operating industrial woodworking machinery in a production environment. Qualified: A Certificate II in Timber and Wood Products Operations (FWP20322) is highly desired (or a willingness to work towards it). Skilled: You have a solid understanding of machine safety, basic measurement, and the ability to follow detailed production schedules.
