The Role Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, the Business Development Manager – MICE is responsible for driving the hotel’s MICE segment performance by securing new meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions and events business. The role focuses on generating total revenue through event space, accommodation, conference packages and associated delegate spend, while building strong client relationships and delivering business aligned with the hotel’s commercial objectives. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a prestigious five-star hotel in Adelaide, currently undergoing renovation. Upon completion, the property is set to become one of the most luxurious and sought-after hotels in Adelaide. Key Responsibilities Drive proactive business development activity with priority on new revenue generation and pipeline growth on MICE business. Identify, target and convert new Meetings & Events opportunities aligned to the Hotel's strategies. Communicate and work with different teams within the Hotel, such as Sales & Marketing, Food & Beverage, Conference & Events, Rooms and Revenue to support business mix optimisation and deliver MICE revenue targets. Represent the hotel at trade shows, client events and sales activities to strengthen brand presence and generate qualified leads. Collaborate with marketing teams to support MICE campaigns, promotions and lead generation initiatives. Monitor market trends, competitor activity and market demand to identify new opportunities and keep up-to-date with current changes. Provide regular updates, performance insights and recommendations to the Director of Sales & Marketing and leadership team. Skills and Experience Strong understanding of the Meetings & Events space, including agency, corporate and association segments. Experience in proactive sales or business development within the MICE within hospitality. Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across the hotel and Amora group. Commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities that drive revenue. Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills. High level of organisation, self-motivation and ability to work autonomously and collaborate within team environment. Passion for driving business, high energy with team spirit.
