Family Support Coordinator - ongoing full time role This role works under the general direction of the manager to coordinate family support related programs and family support workers. The role acts as the primary contact for families in need of welfare, emotional guidance, or other support. Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award 2010 (SCHADS) Level 5.1 with Salary Packaging available. Up to $18,550 in tax-free benefits! The position is a full time position. The position will be for 5 days a week. Objectives of the Position Coordinate program service delivery in accordance with established requirements. Coordination of a range of family support services for individuals and families in crisis. Provide practice lead support to Family Support Workers in providing effective case work to families. Provision and oversight of case management of families. Implement organisational policies, procedures, and client philosophy as well as other legislative requirements. Effective line management to Family Support Workers. Act in a 2IC capacity to the Centre Manager, providing team and volunteer support as required. Key Essential Skills and Experience Social Work Degree in Social Work or Human Services with substantial experience. Demonstrated Experience in community program development, case management and delivery and review of working with children and families with complex social needs. Sound discipline knowledge of child development and improved child-parent relationships. Comprehensive understanding gained through previous qualifications and experience of vulnerable client with complex psychosocial, physical and behavioural needs. Training in trauma informed care and demonstrated experience in using these models. Working knowledge of current legislation including: Child Protection, Human Rights, Privacy, Anti-Discrimination, Bullying and Harassment, Work Health & Safety, Risk Assessment and evidence based decision making. A minimum of 2 years previous supervisory experience, including experience in, coaching and guiding individuals to achieve organisational and program requirements. Excellent organisational and time management skills with the proven ability to organise self and others, including coordinating schedules and attendance. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills, with extensive experience in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and building and promoting local networks and relationships with relevant service providers Queensland Class C Drivers Licence, Satisfactory National Police Clearance, current positive Working with Children Blue Card; and current Senior First Aid Certificate.
