This role is responsible for managing and coordinating executive correspondence, briefing materials, and parliamentary documentation, whilst ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of high-quality outputs. The position provides operational advice and support to stakeholders in relation to departmental correspondence and executive briefing activities, ensuring that accurate and accountable systems are maintained. Sport and Racing delivers quality services by providing responsive and integrated support services for sport, recreation and racing opportunities for all Queenslanders. The team drives grassroots sport participation across the State through programs and services while also delivering the capital planning, build and maintenance program for the Department of Sport, Racing and Olympic and Paralympic Games (the Department). Ultimately the Department plays a key role in enabling Queensland's Sport Strategy and delivering the Government's commitments and priorities. In This Role You Will Provide high-level support through the provision of advice and information regarding ministerial, executive and parliamentary briefing materials (including Estimates and other Parliamentary Hearings packs; event and trip briefing packs), ensuring materials are aligned with departmental priorities and stakeholder expectations. Provide operational advice and support to stakeholders in relation to departmental correspondence and executive briefing activities, ensuring that accurate and accountable systems are maintained. Manage Sport and Racing correspondence and executive briefing requests in accordance with departmental and ministerial policies, procedures, guidelines and within required timeframes. Manage the processing and analysis of data to prepare useful, meaningful information/reports to assist senior and executive managers to meet their governance requirements. Drive a continuous improvement agenda within the team by analysing existing ministerial, executive and parliamentary processes, identifying and implementing efficiencies to help achieve measurable business benefits, such as leveraging the department's existing AI solution streamline processes, enhance productivity and improve quality and stakeholder satisfaction. Prepare and review briefs for senior management endorsement and approval. Effectively engage with internal stakeholders, including the Executive Support Unit (Office of the Director- General) and Communications and Media, to ensure activities are informed and consultative. Deal sensitively and appropriately with confidential and contentious issues and participate as a member of the team by building and maintaining cooperative working relationships and contributing to projects and tasks.
