We are seeking an experienced CSSD Manager to lead the establishment and ongoing management of the Central Sterile Services Department within a newly constructed, St John of God Midland Private hospital. Designed with the latest facilities and technology, this is a rare opportunity which will allow you to be involved from the very beginning, shaping the service, contributing to commissioning and opening activities, and embedding best‑practice processes and culture from the ground up. You will provide visible and inspiring leadership, develop and support your caregiving team, responsibly manage resources, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, while championing the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care. To succeed in this role, you will hold an approved Certificate in Sterilisation Technology or be a registered nurse with AHPRA, supported by recent leadership or management experience within a CSSD environment. You will demonstrate a high level of expertise in contemporary sterilisation technologies, Australian Standards and infection control principles, alongside strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving skills. A commitment to quality improvement and hospital accreditation, sound knowledge of relevant legislative and safety obligations, and well‑developed analytical, report‑writing and computer system skills are essential. About the new Midland Private Hospital A brand-new purpose-built state-of-the-art facility, currently under construction, located just 300 metres from the St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospitals Campus. A comprehensive range of medical and surgical services, with interventional cardiology being offered for the first time in the region The hospital will feature: 96 overnight inpatient beds, including a six-bed critical care/high dependency unit. 33-bed/chair short stay and day procedure unit Eight operating theatres.
