Position Overview The Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and driving the mining market for Gebr. Pfeiffer’s VRM technology in Australia. The role combines strong technical expertise in mineral processing with proactive business development and customer engagement, with a clear focus on positioning GP solutions in modern comminution flowsheets from early project stages. You will work closely with mining companies, EPCM firms and engineering consultants to influence technical decisions, build long-term relationships and convert opportunities into projects. The role is highly customer-facing, requires regular travel and a high degree of autonomy in a developing market environment. Key Responsibilities Drive the introduction and market adoption of Gebr. Pfeiffer’s VRM technology within the Australian mining sector by identifying and developing opportunities with mining companies, EPCMs and engineering consultants, and managing these through the full sales cycle from early engagement to contract award. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders across the mining value chain, positioning GP as a trusted technical partner. Provide technical support on comminution circuits, including dry grinding solutions and flowsheet integration, and support the evaluation of ore characteristics, grinding requirements and beneficiation concepts. Develop technical and commercial proposals in close collaboration with internal engineering teams, ensuring solutions are competitive, technically robust and aligned with customer requirements. Lead and coordinate quotation preparation and tender processes, including review of specifications, clarification of technical and commercial aspects, risk assessment and submission of compliant offers. Support and participate in contract negotiations with customers and partners, ensuring alignment on scope, commercial terms and risk allocation, and ensure a structured handover to project execution teams. Engage with customers during early project stages such as PEA, PFS and DFS to influence flowsheet decisions and position VRM technology early in the project lifecycle. Represent Gebr. Pfeiffer at industry exhibitions, conferences and technical events, deliver presentations and workshops, and collaborate closely with internal engineering, R&D and project teams to strengthen GP’s presence in the mining market.
